Mezzanine Floors

Need more warehouse space?

If you need more warehouse space, it’s not always necessary to move to new premises or extend your existing physical warehouse.

Instead, installing a mezzanine floor offers an excellent way of gaining extra square meters very cost effectively within the footprint of your existing warehouse.

If you’re combining your operations from two or three warehouses into a single site, installing a mezzanine floor is definitely worth considering and can deliver considerable savings.

Design Service

Acorn Warehouse Solutions can assist you in the design of a completely new warehouse layout or re-design your existing facility to ensure you maximise your storage space without the need to re-locate.

All our warehouse layouts are designed with Building Regulations in mind and installed by our SEIRS registered installers, we are CHAS and Safe Contractor approved and have £5 million public liability insurance covering installation and products.  With more than 30 years’ experience we are fully up to date with the latest industry recommendations and HSE regulations so that your project meets all guidelines for heights and safe working loads.

The process to install a Mezzanine floor begins with an initial survey and assessment of your warehouse site to include defining the requirements brief and taking detailed measurements of both your existing facility and the proposed mezzanine structure.

Mezzanine floors are typically designed to store additional shelving for small parts storage or pallets. For storage of pallets the design load will need to be 5kN/m² which is a medium duty mezzanine floor, increased loads can be obtained by assessment of the floor slab.

We will be happy to advise you accordingly.

Our designs include the supply of detailed CAD drawings outlining the warehouse layout and the proposed materials and any existing equipment that can be re-used or re-furbished will be included, saving you money.
